UNFPA has been made aware of fraudulent activities being perpetrated purportedly in the name of United Nations agencies, and/or its officials, in Tanzania. UNFPA would like to warn the public at large that these scams, which seek to obtain monies for conference services through implied association with United Nations agencies using forged correspondence, are fraudulent.
UNFPA strongly recommends that the recipients of solicitations, such as those described above, exercise extreme caution in respect of such solicitations.
